Parked. is built on a simple principle — your data is yours. We don't collect it, store it, sell it, or share it. This policy explains exactly what happens with your information when you use Parked.
Data We Collect
Parked. collects no personal data. All information you enter — parking spots, photos, notes, nicknames — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. None of this data is transmitted to any server, third party, or external service.
Location Data
Parked. requests access to your device location solely to save your parking spot coordinates. Location is accessed only while the app is open ('When in use' permission). Parked. does not track your location in the background, does not store your location history on any external server, and does not share your location with any third party. All location data remains on your device.
Photos
If you choose to add a photo to a parking spot, that photo is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.
Notifications
Parked. uses local notifications only — generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to or processed by any external server.
Analytics and Tracking
Parked. contains no analytics, no tracking SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no third-party code of any kind. There is nothing in this app that phones home.
Third-Party Services
Parked. uses Apple's MapKit for map display and reverse geocoding. When the app looks up your address, a request is made to Apple's servers containing only the GPS coordinates of your saved spot — no personal information. Apple's privacy policy applies to this interaction. No other third-party services are used.
Children's Privacy
Parked. does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.
Data Retention and Deletion
All data stored by Parked. lives on your device. You can delete any parking spot at any time from within the app. Deleting the app removes all associated data permanently from your device.
Disclaimer
Parked. is a memory aid designed to help you recall where you parked. Location accuracy depends on your device hardware, GPS signal strength, and environmental conditions. Typical accuracy is within 5–15 metres but this may vary significantly in underground car parks, dense urban areas, or locations with poor GPS signal.
Parked. is not responsible for parking fines, towing, vehicle theft, inability to locate your vehicle, or any other outcome arising from use of or reliance on the app. The app is provided as a convenience tool only. Always comply with local parking regulations. Always note visual landmarks in addition to using the app.
Parking fine cost figures referenced in App Store marketing materials are general market estimates for illustrative purposes only. Actual fines vary by location, jurisdiction, and infringement type. Parked. makes no guarantee that use of the app will prevent a parking fine.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Given that we collect no data, we don't anticipate meaningful changes.
